Teal Jones Saw Mill in Plain Dealing, LA

In mid 2024, In-Concrete Enterprises completed its portion of work at the Teal Jones Saw Mill in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. This facility brought over $110MM of investment to the local community and is the first mill that Teal Jones put into operation in the State of Louisiana.
In-Concrete supplied and installed all paving for the Teal Jones Sawmill, a major southern yellow pine facility on a 235-acre site just south of Plain Dealing. Construction began in July 2022 as part of a $110 million investment by Teal Jones Group, marking their first facility in Louisiana.

The mill’s footprint encompasses 138,000 sq ft of buildings over 235 acres, and we worked closely with site partners to meet tight timelines—site prep was expected to finish by Q3 2023, with full commissioning and production ramp-up by fall 2024.

The sawmill serves as a regional economic driver and strategic asset for Plain Dealing and Bossier Parish. The mill added approximately 125 permanent jobs, along with 369 indirect roles and 120 peak construction positions, contributing almost 500 jobs to the local economy.

Tyson Hatchery – Hope Arkansas Facility

This 131,000 square foot facility was a $67MM investment into the South Arkansas area by the food conglomerate. Tyson employs over 27,000 hard working people in the state of Arkansas, and this new facility will contribute to the company’s operational efficiencies at nearby poultry processing centers. In-Concrete completed its portion of work at the Hatchery in mid-2024.

In-Concrete supplied and installed all paving and foundation work on this project, which tripled Tyson’s hatching capacity in relation to the plant that it replaced. This expansion supports Tyson’s poultry processing plants in Hope and nearby Nashville, improving efficiency and supply consistency. Construction began in early 2023 and the facility began operations in late 2024.

Tyson plans to offer new contract opportunities to local poultry farmers within a 30- to 50-mile radius, giving them access to upgraded infrastructure and demand. This project follows a $67 million investment in a Hempstead County feed mill in 2022, reinforcing Tyson’s commitment to strengthen its integrated network in southern Arkansas.

ARQ Carbon Refinery

In late 2024, In-Concrete Enterprises completed its portion of work at ADA Carbon Solutions in the state of Louisiana. This facility brought over $250MM of investment to the local community and created over 386 new jobs in the area.

In October of 2024, In-Concrete completed a $5.1MM T&M Contract for ARQ in Louisiana. This project was turnkey and incorporated the use of void forms to successfully erect an addition to the facility due to the poor soil conditions at the site.

To successfully complete this historic investment in Louisiana at a blistering speed, In-Concrete Enterprises dedicated over 16,300 man hours to the project in a five month period. The upgraded manufacturing facility introduced a new proprietary process that converts purified coal waste to granular activated carbon used for municipal water purification, soil and groundwater contaminant remediation and renewable energy.

Heavy Load Multi-Modal Warehouse at The Port in Shreveport, LA

The Port of Caddo-Bossier in Shreveport officially opened a new 40,000 square foot heavyload, multimodal warehouse on December 11, 2024. The facility was built behind the larger 100,000 square foot warehouse that began operations in June 2022, reflecting strong demand from tenants.

Construction began in June 2023 and wrapped up just over a year later. This new multimodal warehouse strengthens the Port’s capacity to handle heavy-load cargo and supports supply chain resilience across river, rail, and road networks. Port officials emphasize that the addition builds on recent infrastructure investments and aligns with Louisiana’s strategy to boost port- driven economic growth.

This facility is expected to enhance logistics efficiency for regional businesses, and its completion underscores the area's rising role in commerce. Local leaders framed the opening as an economic milestone—“a game-changer for our community”—and a testament to effective regional collaboration and planning.
